Llama Head Pointe

There is a bit of a poignant feeling when one reads over old tomes, and comes across the memories of happier times. A girl misses running a tavern, having the populace come and tell stories of their adventuring, sharing a mug of ale, laughing at one another and basically having a good time.

As I have been scouring over the mass of books within my care, I came across the plans of my last serious public venture on the Napa Shard of Sosaria; the Llama Head Pointe Bar & Grille. Named such for, if you look at the maps of the lands, the peninsula has the look of a wretched llama! I know Kat has a sort of affinity to that beast of burden, but I honestly think they are a weak animal. I am happy with my pooka who is a worthy steed. However, the humor of this geological formation cannot be passed. So, I built a tavern. A bit out of my normal territories in Yew, this area around Cove proves to be quiet with just the right distance for Minerva to go mining and for me to go harangue the orcs in their own fort.

Main Design

I opted to go with a stone and brick construction with slate roofing and open areas for decorating. Of course, the standard fare for any tavern is built into the structure...

Stable and Workshop

This is prior to all of the decorating I would typically do. Area for magery and smithing, plus wide enough area for people to house their pets while visiting.

Vendors

Mainly for supplies and specialty items. At this time I had a house in Luna for most of my merchandising

The Bar & Grille

A custom stage, bar, and kitchen area for cooking food. Lots of seating for patrons who come to visit.

Living Quarters

A girl has to have her own space.

Rooftop Garden

I have always enjoyed growing plants for their resources as well as decoration.

A Place for Stories

One of the last story telling events hosted at the Llama Head Point Bar & Grille, even visited by a roving Godling of Sosaria! I wish I could remember who it was, and the people who visited. Memories start to fade after some time...

OCC Notes by LessZoa

These images were captured in the Fall of 2009 (around Halloween/Samhain). I would host story telling contests with gold and/or rares as awards. However, the in-game economy got so a 2-million gold piece prize wasn't that appetizing anymore. Where I once would have a full house of players scrambling to participate in contests that would last all night and well into the next day, this paltry turnout just about broke my heart. After this, I stopped hosting story nights. If anyone knows the name of the GM (or is that an EM?) that visited, or any of the other patrons in the pictures above, let me know. I'd love to give the a shout-out.
