Publish 105 brings with it a chance to have a Player's design of a Custom Keep added to the Housing Tool. Dragging Tandy and Kirthag over to the Test Center to tinker around, I came up with two submissions for the contest. This is the first of them, the Highland Manor.
Being of Celtic descent, I decided to do something with a bit of historical accuracy. After some research, I found out most "manors" were built up over existing, ancient dwellings. Some even incorporated the solid stonework from previous centuries into their construction - a key point in the design for this structure. Click all images to see the larger versions. Exterior Design
A quick run around this keep shows the older, stone footprint of a simple, square structure. Eventually, walls were added around the building as protection. A stable area and towers were also constructed, showing the might of the resident warlord. A second and third floor made of timbers and plaster with a slate roof shows a more modern fashion in peaceful times.

Ground Floor
This features the original stone structure which is perfect for a workshop or vendor area with its own secure double doors. The brick walls added a stable and storage area, and enclosed the courtyard for protection. The base of the two towers are also evident. A side gate allows for access to an area for gardening, or a quick escape if needed.

Second Floor
Here is a more modern area, perfect for entertaining guests with its classy parquet flooring. A small privy is also available, or it can be used as a storage area. Access to the towers are provided by a secure catwalk with pillars to prevent accidental falls.

Third Floor
Here are the private quarters, complete with an open window area for placing growing plants. The small tower has a pole for raising a flag or hanging your guild sing from. Access to the top of the large tower is via teleportation.
