Entire post is OOC...
I've been waylaid by life for many years. Since 2018, I've been such a jumble of chaos and relocations that it has almost become the norm by now.
The few times I've had the energy to dedicate to creativity and role play as my favorite barbarian, it has been to simply upkeep my accounts. I would log in to refresh vendors, tinker a bit with crafting, and kill a few creatures before being drained. For other worlds I would peek in to see what updates and changes that have been made, but never played anything seriously. Always, the world of UO is the priority and first.I would chat a bit with people sometimes in Discord - but always short.
I would create little storylines for RP - but sort them on the computer for later.
I would sketch visions from my mind - but never colorize or display.
After accepting the reality of my folly in Florida, I turned northward - only to shatter my elbow right before departure. Several doctors, x-rays, and splints over the next few weeks resulted in surgery and some spiffy heavy-metal-installation with forced convalescence... and the kicker: no driving. I cannot do the gig-work I had relied on for the past year to sustain me. But I have good credit, a sister who loves me, and better opportunities after relocating. For once, I might be able to relax and let the creative part of me venture out more and - dare I say it - participate in the Worlds again!
Being forced into inactivity is no easy thing, especially for a high-energy workaholic like myself. I picked up my writing again, and thought, "Why not flesh it out and set up for some RP in UO?"
I pull out the Windows laptop, run the updates, and prepare for some pixel sorting in preparation........
Only to appear in Sosaria in the middle of a grassy meadow.
uh.... where is my house?
I run my toon to the location of my keep - and there is someone else's building there. It isn't mine.

I checked my accounts on the BS and EA sites.... I am confused and honestly disheartened. I shut the laptop down after a brief email exchange with the Dark Lady herself. This will be the 4th time I've lost precious pixels in UO. I am not sure I have the heart to rebuild... again.
My arm is hurting along with my heart right now, so am going to just lay here and cry for a while.
And there's your update.
